Cheap Paint at what cost?

A customer was going to attempt to paint their new addition themselves. Off to the local GIANT SUPPLIER they went. They picked up the paint they needed for the room at a great sale price! They couldn’t find the time so asked me if I could paint the room for them and use the paint they had purchased. With much hesitation I agreed. What a mistake! Even with my thirty years of experience I couldn’t get the walls up to the standard I have taken for granted when applying the Benjamin Moore products.

You’re not saving money on cheap paint you’re wasting your time!

Can I Power Wash my house or deck myself?

Of course you can but PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!! Most of the do-it-yourself power washings I’ve seen have been tragic! A lot of people think they can rent a Professional machine or buy a cheap one, turn up the pressure and blast everything clean. That is not the case! First you need to apply the proper cleaner and let it break down the dirt, mold or previous deck sealers. Then with the correct amount of pressure and keeping the nozzle the right distance away from the surface all the dirt, grime and old sealers are removed. I’ve seen people reduce their lightly soiled decks into splinters. Also there is a serious risk of personal injury. A Power Washer is NOT A TOY!

Nature Will Signal When Spring Cleaning Moves Outdoors

WHAT SHOULD I BE DOING?
It’s time for spring clean up not only in your yard but your home exterior too!
Before the spring planting is the best time to wash the siding of your home.

WHAT ABOUT MY DECK?
It is still too early to start deck cleaning and preservation. The signal to begin is given by nature. Once the green pollen has come and gone… it is time to start the process.
